Chapter 3: Knight In Shining School Uniform

The doors of Ozpin's office flew open, making Ozpin jump out of his chair in surprise and leaving his mouth agape when he sees you being contained in Glynda's barrier.

"(Y/N)? Why are you here? You never got in trouble before"

"This young man just beat up two members of Team CRDL" Glynda then sits you down in a chair and releases you from the barrier

"I brought him here so you can dish out any punishment you see fit"
She then exits the room, leaving (Y/N) and Ozpin staring at the door for a bit

"She is quite something, Professor"
You finally decide to speak

"Yes, but that's irrelevant. What did you fight members of Team CRDL for?" He asks before sipping his coffee

"There was this beautiful- I mean, there was a rabbit faunus who was getting bullied by them. I couldn't just sit there and watch while they made fun of her because she is a faunus"

He stares at you for a while trying to figuring out your motivation for going as far as to injure students for a rabbit faunus, then it hit him.

"(Y/N)... You like this rabbit faunus, don't you?"

"Well, I like all faunus, at least the ones who aren't murdering-" you finally figure out what he meant by like "What?! No! Of course not! What makes you say that?!"

"Well, you fought for her. During the time you spent here you defended faunus, yes, but you never went so far as to injure students over them. Also, you said 'beautiful' before correcting yourself and let's be honest, your reaction when I asked you wasn't exactly helping your case"

You sat there stupefied by the quick deducing that the Professor did

"Alright, I'll admit that Velvet does hop around in my mind ever since I helped her" you finally say

"Wow, that's... quite the description of how you feel, (Y/N). But I'd like you to keep the fighting in the training room or outside the school, for the safety of the school and it's students"

"Yes, Professor. I'll think thoroughly next time" you say

"Alright (Y/N), you may leave"

You get up and start heading for the door "Oh... And (Y/N)" you turn around to Ozpin "I'm sure she likes you back" he adds with a smile

You smile and nod at him before walking out of the door

~WALKING IS HEALTHY~

Finally making it to your next class, you take your seat next to your team and begin to listen in on what was being said by the professor

"So, did you get in trouble?" (F/N) asks

"Well, not really. I just got told to think more clearly of where I'm going to beat Cardin up next time"

"(Y/N)... Velvet wants to talk you in the library after school" Zilanna say

"Did she say what for?" You start feeling your heart rate go up tremendously

"She probably wants to thank you with some smooching. MUAH MUAH MUAH!" Johnny starts making kissy faces at you

"S-shut up johnny!" You say louder than you wanted, making the class look in your direction

"Is something wrong, (Y/N)?" Professor Peach asks

"No ma'am"

The bell then rings, making you sigh in relief as you get up with your team and begin walking out of class. On the way out, you start thinking about what Velvet wanted

"What could it be? Will she just say thanks? Will she do a bit more than that, like a kiss on the cheek?" You couldn't control your thoughts and you felt yourself heating up so you decided to get a drink of water

~a few minutes later~

After you got your drink, you started to cool down and decided to finally meet up with Velvet, on your way to the library, your heart started to race more and you started to heat up with every step that brought you closer. You finally reach the library entrance and you feel like a volcano that's on the verge of erupting, finally sorting out your body's behavior, you open the doors and walk inside, seeing Velvet almost immediately

"Hey, Velvet!" You yell

She turns around and smiles at you "Hey! (Y/N)! I'm guessing Zilanna passed on the message, huh?"

"Yeah, she sure did"

"So did she tell you what for?"

"That much she left out" you answer, wondering what she wanted

"Well, I have to thank you properly for today, and what better way to do it than to treat you to lunch in town tomorrow?"

"V-velvet, you don't have to do that much" you say as your heart feels like it's about to explode

"Sure I do, silly! That way I can get to know my 'Knight in shining school uniform', it'll be fun!"

You chuckle at the Knight in shining school uniform comment, feeling that it's pretty much impossible to resist the adorable rabbit faunus, you say "Alright. I'll take you up on it. I look forward to our time together" you smile brightly

"This is going to be so much fun! I look forward to it as well"

You hug each other and walk to your dorms, both eager for tomorrow
